“Let us try that charity may abound in our hearts.” – Mary Aikenhead
As Mary Aikenhead says, our school strives to reach out with charity in our hearts in many ways. One way we do this, is through our hands on outreach activities that take place throughout the year.
These include, but are not limited to, annual fundraising and collection activities such as those for:
- Caritas Australia through Project Compassion
- Jesuit Refugee Services
- St Vincent de Paul Winter Appeal
- Charitable Works Fund
- Catholic Mission
- St Vincent de Paul Christmas Appeal (donations of food items in collaboration with our local conference)
- Catholic Care (collection of items for family hampers or back to school packs)
Parents are also invited to be a part of our outreach initiatives by attending training and opportunities to attend the St Vincent de Paul Night Patrol. They are also invited to help by donating a home cooked meal on rotation for our Family & Faith ‘Blessing Meals’ initiative. These meals are used to support families within the school and parish community during times of need.
“The work of God cannot fail.” – Mary Aikenhead
