Our school provides opportunities for students, staff and parents to know and celebrate their Catholic faith. This is done through the religious life of our school. Members of our community experience a rich liturgical and prayer life, celebration of the Sacraments, faith formation, social outreach activities, and opportunities to share faith with each other and with youth from other schools in the Archdiocese.

St Patricks Catholic Primary School Mortlake

Our school provides wonderful opportunities for students, staff, parents and carers to know, love and share a deeper understanding of our Catholic faith. This is carried out via the religious life and aspects of our school. Our community experience, a full liturgical and prayer life, celebration of the Sacraments and social outreach activities, all in close collaboration with our Parish.

At St Patrick’s Catholic Primary School Mortlake, our students are guided and supported to gain a rich understanding of our faith and build a strong relationship with God through participation in prayer, exploration of the Scriptures and living out Catholic social teachings in a variety of ways.

Some examples of the faith experiences at St Patrick’s include:

  • Our specially written school prayer at our weekly assemblies
  • Whole school prayer – The Angelus (daily), Regina Coeli Prayer (daily during the Easter season)
  • Daily class prayer and Christian meditation
  • Whole school prayer services to celebrate significant feast days and numerous significant events throughout the year
  • Class Masses and prayer services with parent involvement
  • Individual confession for Years 36 (following First Rite of Penance in Year 2).
